Rianna & Ryan’s Linden Place Wedding | Bristol, Rhode Island

You may notice that Ryan looks a bit familiar. That is because he is the lead videographer at Annandale Photography & Film and we had the great honor of capturing his very special wedding day!
Getting Ready, First Look and Pre-Ceremony Portraits
The morning started at a nearby Airbnb in Bristol where the couple got ready with their wedding party before heading over to Linden Place to finish preparations. Renting a house to get ready is a great alternative to a hotel if you want extra space and a more unique backdrop for your photos.
After a private first look, we spent some time exploring the property for portraits before guests arrived. Rianna and Ryan were especially excited about photos and were very comfortable in front of the camera, so we spent more time on portraits throughout the day than most weddings. The historic architecture and beautiful gardens gave us so many fantastic options for photo locations. From a spiral staircase to brightly lit sunrooms, there was no shortage of scenic backdrops.
Outdoor Ceremony at Linden Place
The ceremony took place outside on the lawn. Rianna arrived in a Rolls-Royce with her father before walking down the aisle together. It was a beautiful and emotional ceremony with tears of joy from more than one guest. Ryan and Rianna chose to share vows that they had written, bringing a nice personal touch.
After the ceremony, Rianna arrived in a classic Rolls-Royce, which made for a fun addition to their newlywed portraits. The car fit perfectly with the historic feel of Linden Place and gave us a chance to create a few timeless images before cocktail hour began.
Portraits, Blue Hour Photos, and the Reception
Following the ceremony, we utilized the Rolls-Royce for some romantic couple's photos while guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour. There were fantastic passed hors d'oeuvres during family formals with the Linden Place mansion in the background. After a few more photos of the wedding party, it was time for the party!
Things kicked off with an energetic entrance followed by the couple's first dance and dances with their parents. During dinner service, there were several heartfelt speeches toasting the bride and groom.
Just after sunset we stepped out for a few blue hour portraits, mixing natural light with a little flash photography to create something different from the daytime photos. After a messy cake cutting the party continued onto the dance floor to celebrate with their guests.
I can't thank Rianna and Ryan enough for allowing us to be a part of their special day and for an amazing partnership creating amazing work for other couples on theirs.
