Christina and Lucas celebrated their August wedding at Water's Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook, one of the most beautiful waterfront wedding venues on the Connecticut shoreline. We were honored to capture both photography and videography of their special day.


The day started with Christina getting ready on site in one of Water's Edges spacious bright rooms while Lucas prepared for the day at their home. A summer rain shower started up just as we were heading outside for the first look. Instead of changing plans, the two embraced it and shared their first look and private vows outside in the rain, resulting is some of my favorite shots of the day!


As if meant to be, the rain passed soon after and the sky opened up to one of the most epic views of the season. The post-storm clouds and magical sunbeams across the water gave us the perfect opportunity for some amazing portraits. The rain held out long enough to take advantage of the beautiful grounds of Water's Edge for some fun bridal party and groomsmen photos before the outdoor ceremony.  


Their ceremony took place out on the patio where we were able to take advantage of some unique angles of the grounds and view of the Long Island Sound. Following the ceremony, we finished off the portraits of the day with a scenic walk to the beach for some just married photos of the bride and groom before heading into cocktail hour.


The couple enjoyed their reception in the Royal Ballroom with sunset views over the ocean. From their first dance and formalities to the packed dance floor, we had an absolute blast capturing Lucas and Christina's amazing wedding day at Water's Edge.
